It seeks to present current thinking on the subject of the integration of psychology that grow out of the interface of psychology and theology. The data and theories of both theoretical and applied psychology are treated in this series, as well as fundamental theological concepts and issues that bear on psychological research, theory, and practice. These volumes are offered with the hope that they will stimulate further thinking and publication on the integration of psychology and the Christian faith.

About the Author
Dr. John D. Carter has published a variety of articles on the integration of psychology and theology, and serves as a contributing editor to the Journal of Psychology and Theology.

S. Bruce Narramore holds an M.A. from Pepperdine University and a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. He has also taken theological study at Fuller Theological Seminary and Talbot Theological Seminary. He was the founding Dean of the Rosemead Graduate School for Professional Psychology and Theology. He has lectured extensively on the relationship of psychology and theology, including giving the Staley Distinguished Christian Scholar Lecture Series at Covenant Theological Seminary in 1978. He is a member of the American Psychological Society.

Integration, a not so new concept!

This book is wonderfully written, and helped me to be able to understand an integration process for the scientific study of Psychology, while continuing to use the truth of God's Word. Before I read this, I was reluctant to even discuss many of the prinicples of Psychology--discounting them because I assumed that it was completely unrelated to the Bible. Carter and Narramore present the point that "All truth is God's truth". Since many of the psychological theories have been proven true about the ways in which the mind works, they can be taken into consideration like any other scientific principle. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to understand more about the ways in which these two areas of study do not need to be separated anymore.

Dr. Wiley first became interested in making whirligigs in the late 1980s, and has designed and built hundreds of them since then. Good, but should have been better

There is a lot of usable information in this book, and many detailed drawings. Some of the drawings are obviously old work, with annoying "jaggies." My biggest beef is with the terrible photos. The only color photo is the blurry cover picture. All of the inside photos are dark black & white, showing very little detail. In fact, some of the photos are so dark and out of focus that it's hard to figure out what whirigig is the subject. The publishers should be ashamed of themselves!

GOOD BOOK!

All whirligig plans in this book were full-scale, making them easy to use. The only way to improve it would be to enlarge the selection of plans offered. Good book!

The Whirligig Maker's Book: Full-Size Patterns

I used this book to make my first Whirligig and am well on my way to finishing my second.

I like the full size patterns. I copy the pages to card stock and cut the stock to make a template. The larger pieces need to be taped together which is no problem.

Some materials may be hard to find but can be substituted with a little creativity.

I like Jack Wiley's presentation and plan to buy more of his books after I make the ones I want from this one.
