Genevieve Davis's 3-book set is a must-read for any student of the law of attraction. Her writing is personal, engaging, and--most important--crystal clear. What she has to say is transformatively helpful and inspiring. Best of all, she's straightforward, writing about what works for her and what didn't work--and why--instead of spending three-quarters of the text telling you how great everything is for her now that she's an expert manifester, which is how many law of attraction books are written. Furthermore, she neither claims to have The Answer nor is she trying to sell you anything, which is quite refreshing.

It's not that there's anything new here--you already know how unproductive it is to spend even one minute a day complaining, right?--it's that Davis has a unique voice and is able to get across difficult concepts with direct, uncompromising energy. Read these books and get inspired to become, as Davis says, "magic."

I know it seems like a clich� but I mean every word

How on earth to write a review about books which have quite literally changed my life? From the very first book I was hooked; so much resonated with me right in the core of me. Thank you so much for getting me back in touch with me...I know it seems like a clich� but I mean every word. If you'd like to revolutionise the way you think and the deep sense of gratitude in even the wee blessings which are yours, then I'd strongly recommend you read these books. My life has gone from stressing about what I don't have to being thankful for the many blessings which are mine from the Universe. I have more money than I've ever had and I don't even have to think about it! Go on, what do you have to lose? Blessings out to the ether and thanks for the boundless abundance which can be yours!

Practical Law of Attraction (i.e. Magic) Methodologies

I have read all three "Magic" books as well as "Becoming Rich." Genevieve Davis' books have not only given me a newfound perspective on the Law of Attraction, they've helped me practically approach attracting what I want in my life. A couple of highlights that stand out to me are: (1) Don't complain, period. Complaining only attracts more lack into your life, (2) (and I'm paraphrasing a lot) the reason we don't attract what we want is because we are vibrating lower energy states. Again, we are focusing on what we lack, thus attracting more lack, and (3) look for the magic in your life and how you are already a powerful, amazing magician.

I recommend Davis' books to those people who have read a lot of Law of Attraction books such as "The Secret" and "Think and Grow Rich," however, are still searching, still looking for a nuance to help everything click in. The "Magic" books provides a fresh and down-to-earth perspective on how to attract the life you want. I particularly like Davis' candid approach explaining that "it's not easy" and "she can't do this for you."

Davis' books have helped me focus on the essentials to help raise my vibration so I can attract what I want in life. For example, I took her advice and started observing "how" I complain and worked on shifting my language from complaining to being grateful and accepting. It does feel like magic the way that shifting the behavior of complaining to gratefulness positively impacts one's energy state. I would recommend reading the books and trying these ideas out for yourself with an open mind and heart and see how it works for you first hand. Cheers!

Wisdom wrapped in entertainment

I received this book as a gift from a friend that thought I would enjoy it. Since I don't normally read many religious books, I planned on skimming it and picking off a few key points that I could recite back to my friend to show that I read it and assure him that I enjoyed it. I started skimming the preface and found myself stopping, going back and re-reading paragraphs. Before long I found myself reading every word. Each chapter is short, succinct and peppered with colloquial wisdom and supporting biblical references, wrapped in entertaining stories about the author's family. Payleitner's wry wit and frequent references to expressions and practices from the 60's and 70's will bring a smile to your face....especially if you're over 50. His writing style reminds me of Dave Barry. My favorite chapters referred to bucket list items #11 and #48.

It was an easy read, with quick 3-4 page mini-chapters that you can fly through four or five at a time without too much trouble or time-investment. The advice was sound, and had some good biblical backup. My only issue was that the personal stories that were given as background to each section sometimes felt a bit too much like bragging and name-dropping. I totally get the point of personalizing it -- it makes things much easier to relate to. But a few times it felt more like "Check out this amazing thing I got to work on." or "Guess what important person I know personally." I enjoyed the stories more when they were just about Jay's family or when they were more self-deprecating about past mistakes.

Overall, it was a good read and was perfectly paced for the short attention span reader that I am. Give it a shot.

Bite sized encouragement

What If God Wrote Your Bucket List? is a great little book to encourage you to think about the things you may be missing in this hectic fast paced world we all seem to be living in.

Organized in great bite-sized chunks, this was an easy book for me to fit into my busy schedule. I definitely appreciated the personal stories to illustrate some of the points. It made it very easy to relate to. Many of the items provided encouragement to take a break or a chance. Some gave a different perspective on things that I'd taken for granted.

My only complaint is that a handful of the items were too abstract. At least where I'm at in my faith, it didn't really provide me anything specific to act on or consider.

Overall, this is a great book and I would definitely recommend reading it.

Barkerville itself was the inspiration for this book. On my first visit there, in the mid-1960s, my husband and I were the only visitors-even the parking lot was deserted. It was dusk and the air was thickening, the way it does on a late summer evening. As I walked up and down Barkerville's streets I could feel the past around me. "There is something here," I thought, almost afraid, "There is an echo of history, a taste of ghosts, a smell of memory. There is something here."
Almost 15 years later I went to a short writing course, taught by Robin Skelton, which was held during the summer in Wells, a small town near Barkerville. I stayed at the Jack of Clubs hotel, went to classes in the Wells School's library, wrote stories and poems. When I returned home I knew that I wanted to write a book and I knew it would be set in Barkerville. I sat down at the kitchen table with my portable typewriter and less than a year later had finished this book. I had been right, so many years before, when I had said to myself, 'there is something here." I just had not known that what I sensed among the old homes and abandoned gold mines was a book, waiting to be written.

Absolutely beautiful. I've enjoyed reading this book over and over again as a child, and several years later at 18 yrs of age, I decided to pick it up and read it again...and it never ceases to make me smile and cry. Yes, cry..especially at the end of the book.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is having a hard time understanding Anatomy and Physiology. I enjoyed this book because it broke the text book down into simpler terms and easier way to understand. I especially enjoyed the quizzes for each chapter. It also helped that I took this teacher :)

Nice reference, serves its purpose, but lacks slightly

If I could give this 3.5 stars, I would. It's a handy guide to study and review when you don't want to tote around the 30 lb anatomy textbook (maybe I exaggerate a little). But. It's not as comprehensive as it could be. For example, the book covers blood types and homozygous/heterozygous, phenotype/genotype, etc. If you were to study strictly from this guide, you wouldn't review those things. Also, the integument chapter lists the parts of the nail from top to bottom, so that's very helpful, but it doesn't give a list of all of the parts to the hair. It's an odd combination of being a very effective study tool that sometimes just doesn't quite give enough information.

It's very helpful by putting info into layman's terms, so it helps understand the information without being "wordy" and overwhelming. I just wish it went only slightly more deep into details. Even just a small section about the hair parts or "genotype is what is written on your genes. Phenotype is the thing you can actually see, like your hair color or blood type under a microscope."

Also, it isn't very formal in the way it is written, so there are a few typos and small editing issues, but, I didn't let that affect my rating because overall the book serves the purpose it was written for. I don't think you'd make 100s on tests if you only used this as a study guide, but it's definitely a great chapter review and a nice complement to the textbook.

Great tool for medical career oriented path finders!

I took A&P as a pre-requisite to forward my EMS career to Paramedic. I was told of this book and bought it. It was well written and put together. Michael Harrel, M.S. was also an instructor of my college. Although I didn't have him personally, with this book, he was there right along with my other instructor. The book greatly helped me through my A&P and Lab with flying colors and a A average. I would recommend this book to any medical professional who wants an extra edge on the subject of A&P.

WONDERFUL SMOOTHIES

While I’m not a diabetic, I thought that this book would be a great source of very healthy smoothies. I was right, it is full of easy to make and delicious smoothies. What a great way to increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. I try every day to replace one or two meals with a healthy smoothie. The smoothies may not have been intended for you to lose weight, but they work for me. My granddaughter is especially fond of the Banana-Mango smoothie, while I favor the Banana-Strawberry smoothie. I have tried about half of the smoothies in the book. Some are a lot better than others. I would really like to see a calorie count included. That being said I definitely would recommend this book to anyone looking for good smoothie recipes.

Yummy smoothie recipes that are great for you!

I am trying to eat better but really it is not going well. So I figured how can I go about doing this without giving up stuff that I like? I really would like to get in my fruits and veggies but I find it really hard to do so I thought a good way to go about it would be by doing getting out my Nutribullet Recipe Book: SMOOTHIES FOR DIABETICS: Delicious & Healthy Diabetic Smoothie Recipes For Weight Loss and Detox (Smoothies for diabetics, Detox ... smoothies, Diabetic smoothie recipes). So I am hoping with these recipes that I can lose some of the weight that I need in a fast and easy way. So it has a little blurb about diabetics and why they need to drink smoothies and why green smoothies are good for you. After that it basically goes into recipes. The recipes look delicious and they look like they are pretty easy to follow. I do not think that they will be too complicated although some of the ingredients are things that I would not routinely have on hand but that is something that I should be changing now. I did receive this product for a discount but that in no way affects my review of the product. I was not paid to review the product and the opinions are all my own. I have given great reviews of products when they deserved them and bad reviews as well when they deserved them. All of my opinions are objective.

Pretty good ebook

I was interested to check out this ebook on smoothies because I bought a Nutribullet for my mom last Christmas. She does not use it a lot and I was hoping that this ebook will encourage her to use her Nutribullet regularly. You see, my mom has high blood cholesterol and she is borderline diabetic. I am pushing her to be more proactive with regards to her health and I know that drinking healthy shakes will make her healthier.

This ebook is basically a list of 30 smoothie recipes that is beneficial even for a diabetic. I know that diabetics such as my mom will need to control their sugar intake. Fruits are high in glucose, a form of sugar, but this book shows that diabetics can still benefit from fruit smoothies just as long as the amount of fruits are controlled. Most of the recipes do not have any added sugar in it which is actually great for those suffering with high blood sugar. My mom loves it since she can follow the recipes easily since the fruits are mostly available in the kitchen. This ebook is indeed helpful!

e4 (As Documented Here) Still Not Ready for Prime Time

We were getting set to start a new application, and decided to try Eclipse 4 - but gave up after two weeks of struggling with this book (and the one by Dr. Alex Blewitt) (I agree with a previous reviewer that most of the material is available on the author's web site for free - we discovered that when googling to try and find help with things that didn't work). There are lots of instances of required settings being buried, or in a subsequent chapter - so it was a struggle to get the examples to work, never mind build your own application of any complexity. We ended up dropping back to the previous model of application building. I don't doubt that part of the problem is the complexity of Eclipse in general, and getting the first book out on any new technology is going to be tough - but I hardly consider this "the" complete guide to Eclipse 4 RCP. I'm sure when the dust settles and a subsequent revision comes out, things will be better.

eclipse is the frustrating part, this book does the best it can i suppose

so many of the tutorials and examples don't work, either because the author forgot to mention a setting, had set up his development environment prior to writing the book (and set things then) or because the newest version of eclipse has moved or renamed things. also, as with many eclipse people, the author says "if you see blah blah you need to set your fizbit settings to XYZ". unfortunately i don't know where the "fizbit" has been buried in eclipse, i'm trying to learn here.... and i have to spend hours, sometimes days, researching how to get the settings right to make the tutorials work. Like I said in the title, however, I attribute this to the eclipse community more than the author of this book.

I continually find myself referencing his examples even after spending several months with Eclipse4.
